Introduction

Functions of Rajya Sabha

  • Legislative: Shares law-making powers with Lok Sabha (except for money bills)
  • Review: Acts as a revising chamber to review bills passed by Lok Sabha

  • Executive Oversight: Can question ministers and discuss policies
